Connect your QuickBooks
This is the step that turns your estimates into measured numbers.
Before you connect, your margin, your labour cost and your cash position are whatever you told us.
After you connect, they come from your books.
What happens when you click
- Intuit asks you to sign in and pick which company file to share. You stay on
Intuit's site for this — your password never touches Atrovia.
- You approve the connection. Intuit shows you exactly what Atrovia is asking
for before you agree.
- We read your books once to build your first set of numbers, then keep them
current on a schedule.
- Fin walks you through what changed — usually the moment an owner finds out
their real margin isn't the one they've been quoting against.
What we read
- Profit and loss
- Balance sheet
- Chart of accounts
- Invoices and bills
- Payroll expense totals
- Customers and items
What we never do
- Post transactions to your books
- Change or delete anything
- Sell your data
- Use it for advertising
- Mix it with another business
- See your Intuit password
Read-only, and reversible
Atrovia reads your books. It does not write to them. Nothing you see in
QuickBooks changes because you connected, and nothing in your accounting is at risk.
You can disconnect at any time — from Settings in Atrovia, or from Apps inside
QuickBooks. The moment you do, we stop retrieving data and the access tokens are revoked.
Reconnecting
If your connection lapsed — a password change, an expired authorisation, or a disconnect you want
to undo — use the same button. Reconnecting picks up where you left off, and
the history we already built stays intact.
If you're connecting a different QuickBooks company than before, tell us first at
admin@atrovia.co — one Atrovia business maps to one QuickBooks
company, and swapping without a word turns your trend lines into nonsense.
Before you connect
- You'll need to be an admin on the QuickBooks company. If your bookkeeper
holds that, they can complete this step for you.
- Have the right company selected if you manage more than one in Intuit. This
is the single most common mistake, and it reports the wrong business for months before anyone
notices.
